50,000 wooden coffee stir sticks woven in place and held by tension. From August 30-September 10 2008 I lived in the gallery and wove stir sticks for ten hours a day. The 50,000 stir sticks were woven in place and held by tension. Over the course of the exhibition the piece continued to settle and change shape based on changes in relative humdity and temperature and eventually collapsed under it’s own weight.
