Iced Beverage Basket

The Iced Beverage Basket sculpture was created as a meditation on the portable consumer fetish object of the to go iced beverage cup with dome lid. The idea of seeing all portable consumer fetish objects for dispensing liquid as woven structures is based on the image of baskets as vessels for the gathering of liquids in early cultures. This piece is part of the same series as Big Water Bottle Basket currently installed at North Charleston River Front Park.
