lip dubs

a lip dub is the ultimate karaoke experience. to create the video i learn the lyrics sing them live to the track, then remove the original audio and dub in the music track. the result is that genuine hip hop music video and feel.

at work in the studio

these videos began as an extension of my working practice in my graduate studio. During Graduate school i began exploring stop action animation and jump cut editing. Much of these videos sort of happened by accident. I would be posing shots for exhibition fliers and would realize that i had a sequence of action. with alittle bit of editing and music dubbing my studio actions were born. Later ones were shot as video captured on my digital camera

Art videos

these are videos where i consciously set out to document some sort of "art". although i swallow a little bit of vomit everytime i use the term these fall best into the category of conceptual exercises. but i must emphasize that i really do gag anytime i use or hear someone else describe themselves as conceptual.

I am particularly interested in iconic southern foods, barbecue sandwichs, krispy kreme donuts, and texas beef jerky, I can't bring myself to eat cracklins but if i do i guarantee you i will document the event.
